WHF 11th Annual Convention (Sep 9 - Sep 11, 2011) in Poughkeepsie, NY

The Hudson Valley chapter of WHF is hosting WHF’s eleventh annual convention on September 9, 10 and 11 at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center in Poughkeepsie, New York. For the three-day extravaganza, we plan to bring many well known artists including poet Ashok Chakradhar, professor and author Dr. Susham Bedi, literary writer Umesh Agnihotri with his theater troupe from the Washington Hindustani Theater, and many other local and international Hindi writers to participate in a Hindi Saahitya Manch. Kathak Maestro Pundit Satya Narayan Charka’s East West School of Dance will also perform their well renowned classic dance drama 'Krishna Leela” and much, much, more.

This program is sure to please all Hindi lovers and we urge you to join us and make this an event to remember!

Northbound: Take the New York State Thruway-Route 87- North. Take exit 17. Next take route 300 North to Route 84 to exit 13. Proceed on route 9 north 9 miles.

Southbound: Take the NY State Thruway-Route 87- South to exit 18. Take 299 east to route 9W south. Take Route 44/55 east across the Mid Hudson bridge. Take 9W south 4 miles.

Eastbound: Take 84 East to Exit 13 then take Route 9 north 8 miles.

Westbound: Take Route 84 west to Exit 13 then take Route 9 North 8 miles.
